I am a textile artist and teacher exploring nature, politics, and culture. I specialize in the ancient arts of Batik, Shibori, and Sashiko stitching.
Stitching by hand in a slow, methodical way binds me to every piece I produce.

Batik
A resist-dyeing practice that uses wax to create intricate lines, shapes, and layers of colour.
Shibori
Stitch, clamp, tie, or bind, patterns emerge with room for intention and chance
Sashiko & Stitching
Stitch by stitch, cloth is embellished, repaired, and given renewed expression.
